Chris Neamtu, Pastry Chef
Chef Chris Neamtu’s passion for cuisine was nurtured from a very young age, spending much of his childhood and youth in the kitchen alongside his grandmother and mother. In combination with his Scottish heritage, the emphasis on food as both a necessity and symbol of celebration inspired Chris to embark on a gastronomical journey in hopes that he could extend both his passion and talent for baking and confectionery with others in the same way he had watched his family do so. Upon starting his own artisanal candy company, Chris realized the success he endured was a true testament to his genius as a baker. It was during this time, Chris decided he would continue to devote his life to doing what fulfilled him the most. After graduating from George Brown’s Baking and Pastry Arts Program, Chris went on to work with some of Canada’s most prominent hospitality groups and respected establishments. In December 2017, his career would eventually take him to Liberty Entertainment Group where he began his role as Pastry Chef at BlueBlood Steakhouse at Casa Loma. Chris’ enthusiasm and appreciation for the art of baking translates beautifully in the decadent pastries he creates which have been praised by diners for their exquisite taste and unique presentation. In creating new desserts and reinventing classics, it is quite evident that diners enjoy indulging in his sweet treats just as much as he enjoys making them.
